They're like having stones in your shoe...
You’re starting out to feel a few tiny little stones in your shoe. Yet there is just this slight discomfort. But you shove this feeling away. You might start to avoid running, trying not to walk on the whole sole, before there was this constant scratching and scraping on your foot. Well, it does feel more uncomfortable, but you need to focus.
You can’t have these little stones in your shoe distract you from getting from A to B to Z.
You shove that discomfort further down down. But then you start to feel frustrated and get more anxious. It's super annoying while walking. But it's not gonna keep you from getting to Z! Then you start laughing less with your friends and loved ones, because that constant scraping doesn’t allow you to walk normally and be faster.
You can’t concentrate and focus, there is so much distraction — scraping, scraping, scraping.
Because of the way you change, people around you start to behave differently towards you. That might cause even more confusion and overwhelm.
The little stones in your shoe meanwhile have caused you more damage and pain than you could’ve anticipated.
Still you carry on. You’re good at avoiding and pushing aside how you really feel. You can't be distracted by them, you need to focus on your family, work and life. Showing up to your responsibilities. You can't let them down.
You think that you simply have to grow a thicker skin on your foot, and should think more positively, then all will smooth out with time again.
Things usually worked out for you, you always found your way through.
THE THING THOUGH IS...
This time things don't pan out.
They're only getting worse.
You try EVERYTHING to shove these negative consuming emotions off the cliff:
You try to fight them, yet this uncomfortable, distressing but familiar echo lies next to you at night, sits by your side by day
Wraps around your heart, your throat squeezing so tight you almost can’t breathe…
The more you try to ignore them, the less you can exert any power over them,
As they are clasping your hand and never letting go, pulling you away away away from that exit sign.
TILL YOU HEAD INTO THE STAGE OF NEVER-ENDING PAIN.
Of unresolved and unheard emotions and unmet needs. Till you run out of confidence and of fuel — ignoring, numbing and distracting until all capacities have reached their limits. Till you are as empty and vacant as a shell. Your inner spark faded.
The shadow kingdom has taken over.
THE THING YOU WANTED TO AVOID THE MOST, IS NOW THE ONE THING YOU FEEL THE MOST!
YOU MIGHT HAVE LEARNED
Or grew up in an environment or still are in an environment where the experience and expression of difficulties or negative emotions was/is met with punishment, rejection or lack of empathy.
That emotions generally are too:
irrational and illogical
unpredictable and risky
vague and clouding your judgment and decision-making
That they are problematic, and it's best to make decisions and choices from a non-emotional point of view, if you want to be accepted and successful.
SO, of course you must get rid of them.
THESE VIEWS ABOUT EMOTIONS MIGHT BE THE REASON FOR SUPPRESSING THEM
Being mature means not getting carried away by emotions; I’m supposed to be rational.
If I lose control of my emotions in front of others, they will think less of me, or use it against me.
If I tell others how I feel, they will think I am weak and too emotional.
Other people are happy and confident. There must be something wrong with me.
If I let myself feel this emotion, I will become overwhelmed by it. This pain will kill me.
THESE VIEWS LEAD US
TO FIGHT OUR EMOTIONS
Because we not only learned that we..
Should judge them as positive and negative
Should treat them differently
Should only invite the positive ones into our life and should get rid of the negative ones
That all further substantiates BECAUSE we do feel better with some, and we do feel bad with others
...but we might have also experienced to be treated differently by others when we express difficulties or negative emotions and have been met with judgementalism (that is not normal, something must be wrong with you, you have problems), and received rejection or lack of empathy.
And the cycle goes on.
Because we have learned that it is better or safer to treat negative emotions NEGATIVE and do everything to get rid or escape of them, we fall into the defend and protect mechanisms of our human instinct. Now we need to fight or flight to keep us safe. Unconsciously we create a relationship of fear, of them as being bad or wrong, where we should only like one side and we should battle the shadowy side of us.
We think we are doing the right thing to keep us safe and feeling good.
I SHOULD GET RID OF THEM!
BUT IT ONLY CREATES CONFLICT INSIDE OURSELVES
When we live according to these views, when we get rejected and not treated with empathy by others, we start to unconsciously battle ourselves. We need to feel safe.
But battling is not just tiring, it's super exhausting.
It's consuming your inner drive!
AND it's not getting you anywhere closer to feeling more safe and good!
What I described above is the caretaker who learned and lived by these views and therefore needed to battle myself day and night, thinking this was the right thing to do and was a way to keep me safe of rejection and lack of empathy.
If you can relate then probably these views have influenced you too, and it matters to you too to stop fighting yourself.
I was caught up in this ever-repeating-detrimental-fighting-myself cycle that was draining and consuming me, making me believe that I couldn't do it, I didn't have enough confidence, and that there were no options of ever getting out again.
I knew feeling vibrant, strong and feisty, having enough confidence and believing I could change things, would stay on the distant horizon at best, if I did not finally TAKE ACTION to figure out what was keeping me in this vicious cycle!
I knew I needed to figure out what I was doing or not doing, that kept me in this ever-repeating vicious cycle.
I knew I needed to change my strategies!
THINGS YOU MIGHT BE DOING THAT ARE CAUSING YOU TO KEEP BATTLING YOU:
YOU MIGHT THINK ALL WILL GET BETTER WITH TIME OR WHEN… (yeah, you know this thin hope in the back of your mind, that things will change with time, or heal with time, or turn topsy-turvy like magic. But things don't really change with time, and things don't really heal with time just like that, and these WHEN’s either never come, or other WHEN’s add up to the already existing. Things don't change by only hoping things go your way passively unless you take active action on them…)
YOU MIGHT THINK THINGS MANIFEST WITHOUT EXTRA ENERGY (yeah, kindling up a fire with a dead match and not having any other ignition material and wood, will be pretty hard, if not impossible. Taking action, when you're already drive-less is not possible without a huge boost of energy.)
YOU MIGHT NEGLECT YOUR EMOTIONS AND HOW YOU FEEL (yes, emotions and sensations are like the little red lights on the dashboard of your boat to tell you that some inner workings of your engine need attention. By neglecting the red lights they don't just vanish into thin air...and the cause of your red light flashing is still there)
YOU MIGHT AVOID YOUR NEGATIVE EMOTIONS (well, these unwanted guests in front of your door come to tell you, that things are amiss and need to be changed. These are messengers from your heart, don't kill the messengers!)
YOU MIGHT FORCE YOURSELF TO BE POSITIVE (thinking right away more positive can often be a trap, a trick of your overprotective crooked avoiding and hiding mind pattern, creating an illusion, and is just another form of suppressing (avoiding and hiding your emotions) how you really feel. Even if you "think" this is something "good" you're doing and you "think" it makes you feel better...but an illusion stays an illusion, no matter how hard your thoughts try to think otherwise...)
Before I started this with anyone else, I did and still do this for myself.
I thought all the above and lived by it and even more, before I finally understood who I was battling against.
What I didn’t know before, but I’m going to share with you is this:
YOU DON'T NEED A WAND, MORE TIME OR LUCK –
YOU NEED TO GIVE YOUR HEART A PLACE.
It's so difficult to stop battling when you don't know you are battling and who you're battling.
What you need to know is that you can change how you feel.
Someone who believed and lived by all these crazy, twisted and crooked views too!
Who thought that "in the end it's our emotions that make us weak, wrong and lose control", yet learned that actually killing all those emotions, made us lose power, agency and control in the first place.
LET'S MOVE FORWARD TOGETHER.
Because what you need is someone to show you how to give your emotions a place, and what to do in order to DECIPHER their messages.
(And not teach you strategies how to eliminate negative emotions, or to think more positive).
But first, let me properly introduce myself.
Hi, I'm Mirjam Blank.
I’ve helped caretakers all over the world take courageous action to stop battling themselves, and fearing their negative emotions and their shadow self, to finally give their heart a place and get their inner drive back.
Like YOU, I pushed my negative emotions off the cliff, I tried to eliminate them. I tried EVERYTHING to be more positive. But it got me ZERO results in being more positive and feeling better. I was caught up in a delusion of fake happiness by trying to eliminate myself of all the negativity, and I made gazillion mistakes that taught me A LOOOOT about what's NOT working when you think you are haunted by your shadow self (when all it tries is to get your attention!)
ONCE I GAVE MY HEART A PLACE, I COULD WELCOME ITS MESSENGERS.
I could decipher the messages of my negative emotions.
I embraced the fear I would be devoured or overpowered by my shadow self and negative emotions, if I would ever stop fighting them. I could finally see that battling and avoiding these emotions and their pain did not make me feel better or safe, but the opposite. I could see that fear and "false safety" was a strong driver for the decisions I made and how it was steering my life.
I realised I was caught up in a crooked game, that made me believe that fighting and avoiding my emotions was helping and protecting me.
I started to see that I was deeply tangled up in a very persistent illusion, that made me believe it was reality, when all it did was harming and devouring me.
I stepped out of my comfort zone, challenged myself to face what I feared the most, with courage and started my exploration journey to find my path out of the shadow kingdom.
If you don’t really know where the exhaustion, loss of your confidence and inner drive is coming from and why you can't get rid of all these overwhelming emotions, no matter what you do...
... if you’re not really able to SEE the root cause, the cycle never stops, and it will become nearly impossible to untangle the messy twisted downward spiral that is slowly but steadily consuming you.

How much time per week do I need to dedicate to this?
Our calls will be about 1h in length and in-between the sessions we’ll discuss exercises you can apply or reflect deeper on, which will take you as much time as you want to give (from 5 min. up to you). To improve and boost your Qi levels, cultivate your heart qualities and unmask the overprotective avoiding and hiding mind pattern I'd plan to add extra time (applying the support tactics to do exactly that is totally up to you). It really depends on how much you want to work on yourself. Start in your time and at your own pace, while applying the methods. Practicing and choosing from the tool-kit of your support tactics consistently even though it's only a couple of minutes a day will already create different outcomes and results.
How long does it take to see results?
The RYC programme is designed to built a foundation to strengthen the body, including the organs and immune system, and improve energy or Qi levels, as well as cultivating your heart qualities.
Of course, results vary, and depend on your specific situation, how much time you take to implement the work, and how you are applying the methods and exercises and taking uncomfortable action (and how much you are able to feel comfortable being uncomfortable and cultivate courage along the way — that's why you'll learn how to open and activate your heart. Courage comes from the french word coeur, which means heart). Working on your Qi, deciphering your emotions' messages and unmasking the overprotective avoiding & hiding mind pattern is your foundation to uncover your crooked tactics and change them. Unmasking the workings of the crooked mind pattern and implementing the messages from your own emotions takes time, but the RYC programme will absolutely give you the foundations and a wide tool-kit for building that.

I got you! We can discuss a six weeks period, which is perfect if you want an exploration partner whilst you process a fresh emotional situation that causes overwhelm and distress, and you need someone to process those emotions and feelings.

What is your work based on?
Great question! I’m a certified and fully qualified Yuan Qigong I Ren Xue trainer and life coach (Jay Shetty certification school). I am qualified in and work with modalities, methods and techniques that are based on disciplines belonging to the Chinese wisdom culture including Daoism, Buddhism, Confucianism, Qigong, the martial arts and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Ren Xue, including its Qigong system called Yuan Qigong is based on the above mentioned wisdom knowledge and thought traditions, and it's an efficient alternative modality for enhancing health and uplifting life. It addresses the imbalances or blockages of Qi (energy) to effect continuous positive changes to Qi, with the aim of improving health and elevation of the mind and heart. It is a tool that can be used to get to know ourselves better in order to change ourselves.
